Following the disappointment at Marston Road, it was off to Shrewsbury to watch the third and final game of this season’s Shropshire County League hop. The venue was the competition pitch at the Shrewsbury Sports Village which boasts a sports hall, climbing wall, squash courts, a 3G pitch and a large number of grass pitches of which one is a ‘floodlit premier grass pitch with grandstand seating and terrace / patio viewing’ (i.e. the competition pitch). This game pitted two title contenders and it was third-placed Ludlow who came out of top with a 2-0 victory which ended the 100% home record in the league of leaders Haughmond. Nathan Hodge scored both goals in the 24th and 66th minutes.
